Not bad for a band with 30 plus years behind them who once sounded like the future but now sound simply like themselves. Just their second album in half a decade, ninth overall in a recording career spanning 25 odd years, Moon Shaped Pool maps very familiar ground delivering more or less what is to be expected from this group of middle aged anti-rock stars on a holding pattern of cool.
