Although Terri Gibbs’ career in recorded music didn’t begin until the early 1980’s, her deep contralto voice is much more a part of the 1970s rich rock tradition of powerhouse singers Shirley Eikhard, Yvonne Elliman, Phoebe Snow and a young Anne Murray than anything 1980s New Country ever had to offer.
