Ironically endorsed by the British Knight, Sir Elton John, Kneecap is a hip hop trio from West Belfast, Northern Ireland, consisting of Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí.

They perform in both English and the Irish language, often incorporating themes related to Irish republicanism in their lyrics.

Their first single, “C.E.A.R.T.A.” (which translates to “Rights” in Irish), came out in 2017, followed by their debut album, 3CAG, released in 2018.

Their most recent album, Fine Art, was launched in 2024, accompanied by the award winning biographical comedic drama Kneecap which had its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, the first ever Irish language film to do so.
