What Henrik Appel initially intended as a side project has now become a full-scale reinvention. After years establishing himself as one of the key figures in Stockholm’s punk underground, playing bass with Martin Savage Gang and later fronting his own band Lion’s Den, Appel released his first solo record, Burning Bodies, in 2018.
Six short years later Appel has reemerged with his most powerful work yet.
Recorded and produced in 2023 by Martin Konie Ehrencrona at Studio Cobra in Stockholm, Sweden, Appel’s third album, Shadows, is 9 tracks of extraordinarily satisfying raw rock n roll.
