Arranged by Sy Mann, Soul Mann & The Brothers have also been known as American Soul Orchestra as well as Mack Browne & The Brothers.

 

Instrumental versions of songs originally written and recorded by Isaac Hayes for the official soundtrack to the film Shaft.

 

Purchased at a local thrift shop for $0.50 cents, sold As Is with no album jacket.

 

Pickwick/33Records launched in the spring of 1965 after inking a deal with Capitol Records to release select titles from their unused back catalog. Pickwick also licensed records from Warner Bros, Reprise, Everest, ABC-Paramount, Roulette and others.

The main activity of the Pickwick/33 label was to bring high-quality “Re-Releases” from the libraries of many distinguished major and independent recording companies.

 

Pickwick ceased operations  in 1977, when the company was sold to the American Can Company.
