If you didn’t know it yet, Shannon and the Clams are the thing in indie garage punk today. From Oakland, California, their killer sound successfully blends vintage vibes, R&B, garage, psych and surf music into a frolicking ball of irresistible fun.

Fronted by the powerhouse vocals of bassist Shannon Shaw, the Clams groove out on economical guitar licks from Cody Blanchard and Doors-y  keyboards from Will Sprott.

Their 2009 debut album, “I Wanna Go Home”, set the template for their inevitable rise, while their second last release, “Year of the Spider”, solidified their spot as one of the key Rock N Roll bands to watch out for today.

When produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, who also releases their albums on his privately owned indie record label, Easy Eye Sound, Shannon and the Clams are able to drag the finest elements of 60s psych pop from the back pages of the last century kicking and screaming into the here and now.

Critics have cited their live shows as some of the most exhilarating of Rock N Roll’s new era. And with their latest release, “The Moon Is In The Wrong Place”, they continue to push boundaries and redefine what it means to be an indie garage punk band in 2024.

Keep an eye on this act as they continue to make waves in the Bay area and beyond.

Oh yeah, and, uh, Elvis has left the building…
