46 years after their initial formation in Gainesville, Florida, Southern country rockers Mudcrutch release the follow up to their 2008 self titled debut album. More than just a Tom Petty side project this is not The Heatbreakers 2.0, this is an entirely different band with a different set of players and a slightly different feel. With Petty on bass fellow Heartbreaker Mike Campbell has much more sway than is usual not having to share lead guitar work and solo bits with Petty. Roomier and more relaxed sounding, this new line-up of old friends has had a rejuvenating effect on the music of Petty & Co finding them hungrier and leaner sounding than ever.
Key tracks: Hope, Beautiful Blue, Hungry No More, I Forgive It All, Save Your Water
